Red Cliffs Lodge

Eighty cabins and suites on the Colorado River at Mile 14 of UT-128, with a boat dock, horseback operation, and the Moab Museum of Film & Western Heritage on site.

Also known as: Red Cliffs Lodge Moab

Red Cliffs Lodge sits at Mile 14 of Utah Scenic Byway 128, on the bank of the Colorado River below 2,000-foot sandstone walls and roughly 15 miles upstream of Moab. Eighty riverside suites and cabins look out across the water and Castle Creek Canyon, with log furniture, knotty pine, and wide windows on the river. The lodge has its own boat dock and put-in ramp on the Colorado, a working horseback riding operation, an outdoor pool, and a year-round outdoor hot tub. The on-site Moab Museum of Film & Western Heritage documents the long history of westerns, John Ford films, and modern productions filmed in the surrounding canyon country (the Castle Creek and Fisher Towers stretch has been a film backdrop since the 1930s). For boaters, it's the canonical UT-128 corridor lodge — close to the Daily, Westwater takeout shuttle territory, and the upper-Cataract approach.
