Museum of Illusions Salt Lake City
Hands-on optical-illusion and perception museum at The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City — over 50 interactive exhibits, family-oriented, deliberately Instagrammable.
Also known as: Museum of Illusions SLC, MoI Salt Lake City
The Museum of Illusions is a hands-on optical-illusion and perception museum at The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City — part of an international franchise of similar museums in over 50 cities. Fifty-plus interactive exhibits cover holograms, ambiguous images, the Ames room, the vortex tunnel, the rotated room, anti-gravity displays, infinity rooms, and a Smart Playroom of perceptual puzzles. The format is short-attention-span and family-oriented; the exhibits are deliberately Instagrammable. Useful as a downtown rainy-day stop or a first-night arrival activity for groups staying at the Gateway hotels before heading south to the canyons.
