Upper Ten Cent Camp

River-left camp in the Ten Cent reach below the Big Drops; named by Don Harris (1952).

Also known as: Ten Cent Camp

Upper Ten Cent Camp is a river-left camp in lower Cataract Canyon at mile 201.0, in the Ten Cent reach below the Big Drops. The Ten Cent name was given by Don Harris on his 1952 Cataract trip โ€” its origin is preserved in Webb/Belnap/Weisheit's history of the canyon. A quieter last-night-before-Lake-Powell camp for trips that have cleared the Big Drops and South Seas.
