A solid mid-canyon sandy bench camp near Snap Canyon drainage.
Snap Canyon Camp sits at mile 45 near the mouth of Snap Canyon drainage. The camp is a standard sandy bench in the Desolation Canyon corridor — flat, open, with the canyon walls rising on both sides. Snap Canyon itself offers an optional side hike into the drainage, though it is less developed as a destination than Rock Creek or Three Canyon. The camp serves as a connector between Rock Creek (upstream) and Three Canyon (just one mile downstream) — groups often choose one or the other for a night rather than both.
